Who we are

Hi, I’m Sara—founder of Rogue Dance Studios and a lifelong dancer, coach, and choreographer passionate about creating a space where adults feel comfortable, confident, and excited to move.

My dance journey started at a young age and grew through my competitive training at Expression of Dance, where I spent years developing strong technique, versatility, and performance skills. I continued dancing at Millersville University as a member—and later captain—of the dance team, performing at athletic events and training in styles like jazz, hip hop, pom, and lyrical. Today, I’m proud to be back as a coach, leading practices, choreographing routines, and mentoring the next generation of dancers. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to teach a wide range of dancers—from preschool students just starting out to competitive teams and adult classes.

What inspired me to create Rogue Dance Studios was the lack of opportunity for individuals over 18 to explore dance. Opportunities for adults to dance—especially in a structured, welcoming class environment—are surprisingly limited. Many studios focus primarily on youth programs, leaving adults with few options that feel approachable, consistent, and truly designed for them. These classes were created to fill that gap and offer something different: a space where adults of all backgrounds and experience levels can show up, move their bodies, and enjoy the process without pressure or expectation. Whether you’re looking for a creative outlet, a fun way to stay active, or a chance to reconnect with something you once loved, these classes provide a unique experience that blends technique, community, and pure enjoyment in a way that’s often hard to find elsewhere

Whether you’re stepping into a studio for the first time or returning after years away, my goal is to make every class feel approachable, empowering, and fun.

Stay tuned for announcements and opportunities focused on pom training for youth and teen age groups as well! After seeing firsthand—especially through my work with college dance teams—that many dancers are introduced to styles like pom much later in their training, I think it is important to educate young dancers who are interested in a college dance team on the pom style and training. If you are a studio owner, parent, or dancer interested in this offering, please reach out for more details.
